Household Moves


Intra-state moving within the State of Washington:

When moving within a 30 mile radius your cost is based upon an hourly rate for truck and number of men needed. An Example: A small home or apartment move may use 2 Men & 1 Truck at an hourly rate of: $80.00 per hour. A medium sized home may use 3 Men & Truck at an hourly rate of $115.00 per hour.  A larger home might need 4 men & Tractor Trailer at an hourly rate of $150.00 per hour.  Each additional man added to a move will increase a job by $35.00 per hour and additional trucks are also available. *Please note that Washington State law states that recorded time starts when leaving the warehouse and returning to the warehouse.

Moves outside a 30 mile radius are based upon actual certified scale net weight, mileage, and a Per 100 pound rate provided by Washington States tariff. Example move:  5000 pounds moving from Spokane to Seattle would have a rate of $28.00 per 100 pounds = $1400.00  These rates can slightly vary depending on the time of year and timing requested.  There will also be a fuel surcharge on every move that is adjusted monthly based upon Washington Utilities set rates.

Inter-state moving outside the state of Washington:

If your move is not starting and ending in the state of Washington then you will have a Inter-state move that will be governed by the Department of Transportation with rates based upon the current tariff.  Your move will be based upon weight and mileage determined by origin and destination zip codes.  We have a minimum of 1500 lbs that you will be charged on all Inter-state moves. Discount levels will be applied based on a number of factors: Time of year, Size of move, and your destination.  You should take advantage and have us provide you with a free written estimate and talk to your friendly sales staff to help you better understand your options.

Packaging Rates:

All packing is determined by the size of your move.  Each box can have a set price that will include the labor to pack it up.  On some moves your packing charge can be provided as a "Full Service Pack" which is based upon your actual move weight.  Many people like this option over the per box charge.  Used boxes are also available to our customers and this allows you to simply pay a labor rate and possibly cut back on your expenses.  We offer full crating and custom packing services with trained professionals who have up to 30 years experience in the industry.
